Short Review Of Some Home Theater Receivers That Are 3D Ready

The advent of 3D technology has caused a big stir among major electronics manufacturers this year. Electronics giants like Sony, Panasonic, LG, Onkyo and Pioneer are not taking their chances and have released many components including blu-ray DVD players, home theater receivers and Flat screen tvs that are 3d capable so that they have a larger market share.

Pioneer and Onkyo are first off the blocks new audio/video receivers that are primed to take advantage of the 3d technology. Onkyo released the TX-SR508, TX-SR608 and TX-SR308 AVRs recently and Pioneer followed suit with the Pioneer VSX-1020-K and Pioneer VSX-1120-K.

They are are affordably priced receivers but they all come with many features that are innovative as well as practical. They all have the new HDMI version 1.4 capability that is required for 3D video playback.

The Pioneer receivers are network capable and have thousands of streaming internet radio stations online. 1080P upscaling is now the norm for these new generation receivers, so is capability to decode all the most up-to-date audio surround codecs such as DTS HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD, and Dolby Pro Logic IIz.

They will also boost sound from your MP3 songs using the Advanced Sound Retriever (AIR) circuitry and are blue-tooth ready, so that sound quality is almost like a CD. If your preference is for good sound as well as great image quality, these Pioneer receivers are a good choice.

The Onkyo AVRs offer something more – Audyssey DSX surround playback which the Pioneers lack.
